One of my all time favorite TV shows is Elementary starring Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu. In the Sherlock Holmes Slots movie version, Robert Downey Jr. plays Sherlock and Jude Law plays Holmes. As much as I love both the TV series and the movies, it is the TV series I enjoy the most. The slot game has stunning full color drawings of these Sherlock and Watson; however, they are not the real characters. So let’s review Sherlock Holmes Slots because the game is afoot.
About the Game
Sherlock Holmes Slots is visually stunning and offers a myriad of symbols sans the cards. At the top of the slot game you will find the denomination you will wager using the arrows. In the top center it will tell you click on the spin or bet max. To the right you will find bloody daggers. At the bottom is the Progressive Jackpot and to the right you can access the pay table button. Here you will find all the symbols, payouts, special features, and rules of the game. In essence, this slot game basic information is the opposite of what you would normally find playing an online slot. There is an Auto Play button at the bottom of the slot. One other thing, the introduction to the game is a silhouetted picture of Holmes with his pipe and signature hat. Below that is his signature. The picture is encased in a circle, and around Sherlock are red curtains you would see in a theatre.
Playing the Game
There are four special symbols in this game: the Wild, Bonus Game, Jackpot, and Free Spins. A Man with a Black Top Hat is the wild symbol and substitutes for all symbols on the entire reel except for the Bonus, Jackpot, and Free Spins. The Bonus Game Symbol (the Bloody Dagger) will take you to the bonus round when you get three of them. The Jackpot symbol is a Diamond, and when you get all five, you will win the progressive jackpot. The Free Spins symbol is Sherlock Holmes in silhouette, and he will trigger the free spins round. When you get all five Sherlock symbols, you will win 5000 coins. Also note that the Bonus Game will dole out up to 50,000 coins.
Free Spins Round
When you get the Sherlock Holmes Free Spins symbol, you will activate the free spins round. If you get three symbols, you will win 10 free spins; 4 symbols will garner you 20 free spins; and all five symbols will award you with 30 free spins.
The Picker Puzzle Game
When you get three bonus symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5, you will activate the Picker Puzzle. Here you will be asked to select five objects located in Sherlock’s study. Each pick will reveal a prize or clues to solve the bonus puzzle. The prize can be a multiplier up to 10xs, while three or four of the Hourglass symbols will award you 10 and 15 free spins in the Hunt Bonus, respectively. If you get 3 of 4 Film Reel symbols, you will win 10 or 15 free spins for the Blackwood Bonus.
The Blackwood Wheel Bonus
In this bonus game, there is a wheel containing cash prizes. The wheel also contains Blackwood wedges and three pointers. If the pointer lands on one of these wedges, then the wedge will be deactivated. If a pointer lands on a Sherlock wedge then all are reactivated and you start again with three pointers. You will also win the Sherlock prize for that spin. Players earn wins from each of their spins when triggered, and if one pointer is still active at the end of your free spins, the total prize is doubled. If all pointers are deactivated, the round will end.
